VOA's mission is to always steps forward to help the most vulnerable. Operation Backpack is VOA's annual backpack drive and is held at individual locations across the country, impacting tens of thousands of children in need.
jkl works with local non-profits to run after school fitness and wellness programs in inner-city high schools, helping teens get in shape and gain confidence while also improving their grades, attendance, and behavior.
NATIONAL PARTNERS
The Ticket to Dream Foundation is dedicated to creating hope and opportunity for foster children across the nation, so they can just be kids.
They believe hope starts with having shoes and clothing that fit, lifting their self-esteem. School supplies and access to computers so they have the tools they need to succeed in school. Getting to experience the joy of a gift under the tree, a trip to the zoo or joining a sports team. It’s ensuring they receive the life skills and job training, education support, and access to housing services upon aging out that allows them to heal and grow to reach their full potential.
AAUW's mission is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.
Each summer, AAUW holds STEM camps across the country for girls in middle school. Called Tech Trek, these week-long camps are designed to make STEM fields exciting & accessible at the age when girls’ participation in these fields statistically drops.
Collectively, we fundraise to provide campers with Sydney Paige backpacks filled with full sets of school supplies so they may go back to school prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
