The aftermath of the Eaton Canyon Fire left many families in Pasadena devastated, but it also brought out the best of our community. What started as a mission to help 1,000 students impacted by the fire quickly turned into an event beyond anything we could have imagined.
On February 8, 2025, the Sydney Paige Foundation, along with Pasadena High School, the PHS PTSA, over 150 volunteers, and our incredible donors and sponsors, came together to provide more than just backpacks and school supplies. We created a day of joy, comfort, and much-needed community support for families who had lost so much.
We were joined by some amazing partners who helped us make this event truly special, including KiwiCo, Toys for Tots, Bombas Socks, Sephora & Project Glimmer, World Central Kitchen, Bear Givers, Bazic Products, and so many more. There were games, food, music, and even puppies from Pups without Borders. Yes, puppies! 🐶💕
But the most memorable moment of all came from a mother who had lost everything in the fire. She approached our founder, Courtney, and said, "This is the first time I’ve smiled since the fire."
That moment made everything worth it.
